Villefranche

I tried something a little different on this one, and I think I'll do a few more like it eventually. I worked up most of the painting fairly realistically, but chose a few things to draw in a more childlike manner to see how they might exist in a more realistic world. that's great, i often do the same thing at work. for example, i was working on the structural design of this office building, and i designed most of it per the appropriate building codes. but then i chose a few things to design in a more childlike manner, just adding in some random columns, and deleting a few beams here and there. i'm anxious to see how the structure will exist in our realistic world.

I agree. The French are very childlike.
